That texture is exactly what I look for in a cookie—dense and chewy without falling apart, and the semisweet chips balance the dark cocoa perfectly. I barely managed to stop at two before I had to hide the bag from myself.
The extra dark French cocoa gives it a depth that most grocery store cookies just don't have, and the chips stay melty in the middle. I cut one in half and it was perfectly dense and chewy, not cakey at all. Dangerous is the right word—I finished the bag in two days.
Bought these for a late-night snack and the chewiness is exactly what I wanted—dense without being heavy. The semisweet chips balance the dark cocoa so well that I finished the bag in two sittings, no regrets.
